Programme Overview
Technology has revolutionised the way businesses operate and has become an integral part of the modern business landscape. Hence, to meet the increasing demands for professionals in this field, the Bachelor of Technology Management (Honours) programme is designed to equip students with a unique blend of business and technology skills, which combine management, engineering, computer science, and vocational education. This three (3) years programme immerses students in multidisciplinary studies on integrating new technology, the benefits of technology infrastructure, and problem-solving through technology. This specialised knowledge of technology allows Technology Management graduates to be all-rounders, develop into more effective managers and leaders, and adapt more readily to changes in the marketplace. Upon graduation, students will obtain a degree in Bachelor of Technology Management (Honours) from UTS and also has the opportunity to gain a TVET-Instruction (TVET-I) certificate from Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK) which are highly sought after in today’s job market.
Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates will be able:
- Evaluate theories and concepts in technology management studies.
- Communicate creative and innovative ideas using numerical and analytical skills effectively.
- Apply critical thinking skills for decision making using digital approach and application.
- Display innovative entrepreneurial skills.
- Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, communication and social skills in accordance with ethical and legal practices.
- Apply the skills and principles of lifelong learning in their academic and career development.
- Demonstrate a level of professionalism and willingness to adhere to ethical norms and values suitable for a business professional.
- Demonstrate a level of social etiquette appropriate for a successful business/teaching career
Duration of Study

Programme Structure
- A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), with a full pass in any TWO subjects or CGPA 2.0, and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level; or
- A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum Grade of Jayyid and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level; or
- Matriculation or Foundation qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00; or
A Diploma [Level 4, Malaysian Qualifications Framework, (MQF)] with at least CGPA of 2.00; or - An Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF) with at least CGPA 2.00; or
- A pass in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with a minimum Grade B in five subjects; or
- Pass Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM), Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma
Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) as according to the Pekeliling of Ministry of Higher Education dated 21st April 2020 with a minimum CGPA of 2.5, subject to UTS Senate approval; or - Pass DKM / DLKM / DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 AND have at least 2 years of work experience in a related field.
***International students are required to achieve a minimum Band 3 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) OR equivalent to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)(Low B2).
